What My Clients Say
After one session with Aoife, I understood myself better and the way I was viewing certain things and as a result feeling stuck and powerless. She has a way of clearing the fog that was in my mind and helped me see in a clearer light
I cannot recommend Aoife enough. She has a natural way with people. If you are nervous about life coaching, don't be! You are in very safe hands. I loved her common sense approach and the practicality of the work we done together.
"I would highly recommend Aoife. For as long as I can remember I have been obsessed with dieting and exercise. I used to punish myself so much. I felt so much guilt for passing this onto my teenage daughter but after working with Aoife my life is so much different. I have learned and unlearned so much and had so many light bulb moments. I forgive myself and I now have a whole different view of my body and how I approach food and exercise. My friend also started with Aoife and it's amazing to have more women to share this with".
I had 3 sessions with Aoife and intend to come back again. I got so much clarity from the sessions. I initially went to her when considering changing careers but we ended up talking about things on a deeper level. I decided to hold the career move and began working on my personal life. I realised I was chasing happiness in work but was totally avoiding looking at other areas that needed my attention. I cannot thank her enough and only wish I went sooner.

What is Life Coaching?Life Coaching helps if you feel lost, stuck, at a crossroads, struggling with an issue or goal or generally feeling flat and unmotivated. It gives you an opportunity to identify what you really want in life or certain areas of your life. It is present- future focused meaning that the focus is on your life at present and moving you forward in the direction you want to go in the future. It helps bring you’re potential to the surface, highlight any obstacles that are keeping you stuck and ultimately, a way to move forward.
-
What is Nutritional Coaching?Nutritional coaching helps if you experience chronic dieting, body image dissatisfaction, food/body preoccupation, emotional overeating and guilt. It helps you develop a healthy & peaceful relationship with food, body & self. It is for you if you want to: •Transform your relationship with your body, food and movement •Find peace with your body & feel at ease around food •Move away from dieting, restriction, calorie- counting, weighing, measuring, tracking over- exercising etc. •Discover your body’s internal hunger & fullness cues •Achieve balance in your life in a lasting way •Find food freedom •Embrace body acceptance •Start respecting your one and only body •Try something different (let’s be honest, the diets don’t work!)

What is Eating Disorder Recovery Coaching?Eating Disorder Recovery Coaching helps with Binge Eating, Emotional Eating, Bulimia, and Orthorexia. Eating Disorders are a symptom of under- lying issues and coaching helps shine a light on these so you can understand your behaviours and ultimately, Free yourself from them. Full recovery is possible. Eating Disorders are not just about food and weight – this is how the emotional distress and inner turmoil manifests itself. It is helpful to think of an eating disorder as a destructive coping mechanism that a person has developed over time. Although maladaptive, it can help them to feel better able to cope day-to-day and becomes their safety net.

How long do sessions last? The first session lasts 90 mins and follow up sessions last 60 mins.
-
How many sessions do I attend? There is no one size fits all approach so I am flexible in terms of this. In general, I tend to see clients for 6 months but it really depends on the reason you are attending and what you are hoping to achieve with coaching. Some clients attend one or two sessions to gain clarity on a big decision and others, particularly those with eating disorders and food/body image issues attend for longer due to the nature of the condition. As things don’t exist in isolation, coaching in one area tends to influence and interact with others and many clients come back months afterwards to work through something else.
-
How often do I attend? There is no one size fits all approach so I am flexible in terms of how often we meet. The reason you are attending sessions will dictate the frequency and it’s very personalized. For life coaching and nutritional coaching, I generally see clients every 2- 3 weeks but there is flexibility if you wish to meet sooner or later. Coaching is very practical clients leave each session with actions so it’s important to allow time in between to apply learning or implement changes. For Eating Disorder Recovery coaching, I recommend meeting every two weeks initially and this can be spaced out when recovery is progressing.
-
Where do I attend? My practice is mainly online so location is not an issue. I see clients all over Ireland and even internationally via Zoom. I am based in Tulla, Co. Clare and am happy to meet clients in the surrounding areas face to face.
-
What is your availability?I mainly work week days but in certain situations am available at weekends. Sessions fill up fast so let me know what days/times work best for you in the booking form.
-
What does it cost?A 15 min discovery call is provided free of charge when you reach out initially. Price depends on the package chosen, how frequently we meet and what type of support you are looking for. We can discuss all this during the discovery call.
-
What if I can’t afford it right now?Coaching is an investment in yourself, in terms of cost and energy. Investing in yourself can feel scary. However, where will you be in 6 months time if you don’t? The cost of one to one support over a one month period which includes 2 sessions works out at just over €6/day. To help you decide whether this is a worthwhile investment, I’d encourage you to ask yourself, “is the cost of investing in support less than the cost of staying stuck where I am?” If finances are an issue, we can discuss an individualized payment plan.
